Well, 2017 is almost over, let’s get ready to welcome the new year! But before we can start popping the confetti and celebrating what’s to come, it’s always exciting to look back and recap what happened with a quick year in review post.
If I could sum up this year in only one word would be…drumroll please…changes. Lots of things changed and I dare to say that most of them happened over the last few months.
What I learned
One thing I always like to say is that being a small business owner and blogger is all about changing, learning as most as you can and allowing your passion to grow as you do.
For me, that meant a complete brand makeover that finally shows that aesthetic I love. It meant blogging more and going back to what I enjoy about it – sharing a mix of design, tips and lifestyle posts.
It also meant evaluating the design services I offer. Through my client experiences and what I’ve learned in this crazy adventure, I’ve come to realize what process is the most enjoyable and that delivers more results. Changing completely how I handle each project, giving me a big opportunity to connect with my clients in a fun way.
And with that came amazing and lovely clients, who I’m so grateful for. It’s such a great experience to be able to collaborate with them, creating designs and brainstorming ideas to grow their brands.
I also took time to think about how to create that work-balance life, which I’m sure you will agree, is not easy to accomplish. The big change here was to stop stressing about every little aspect of it and start doing. Going for that course I’ve had on my list for a long time, letting go of social media if I need to and enjoying my free time more.
What you liked on the blog
This year I went from blogging a few times a month to a more consistent schedule. I can honestly say that besides being great for your business, posting content regularly can also provide that inspiration you need. And of course, it’s always rewarding to share tips with you in the hopes that it will help you as well.

Who knows! … Just kidding, well, kind of. If I’ve learned something from new year’s resolutions is that life is unexpected. But, that won’t stop me from planning.
When it comes to blogging and social media, I want to focus more on sharing about the behind the scenes. How a branding project is managed, giving more tips on how to use your designs, creative resources and keep posting those tips that can inspire you as well.
And for the studio, I can’t wait to keep working with small business owners and bloggers, creating new designs and having fun. Learning is also at the top of my list, I have a few courses I would love to take part of this 2018.
So that’s it for this year in review. Here’s to a wonderful new year! Thank you so much for reading!
