One of my main goals as a designer is to develop long-lasting relationships with my clients. To be able to help them when they need a change here or there is one of the best experiences. You can imagine how excited I was when one of my first clients ever contacted me again a few months ago with a new project in mind.
I worked with Zenzi, a talented creative a couple of years ago in the design of her fashion blog. This time she had a very exciting adventure: an online fashion and lifestyle magazine. I couldn’t wait to start working together on this, as I love spending time exploring these type of platforms.
For this online magazine, Zenzi thought of a very fun and unique name – Ysnes, which is a variation of her own name. I absolutely love this name and the idea behind it, so for the logo design, I wanted to incorporate small elements that hinted at it.
We played around with a combination of different fonts and customization of them to create the “y” on the logo and since we both loved it, that was also incorporated throughout the stationery design.
When you think about patterns what usually comes to mind are drawings, textures or graphics. This time the only element present was that “y” design, which gives a modern and elegant style to this brand.
Once we completed the branding elements, we started working on the web design. It was important that this felt like an actual magazine, with new posts each day and that could be easily found by the readers.
We kept that same minimal and elegant color palette and space where new articles could be easily found.
Such a fun project and it was an absolute pleasure working again with a client like Zenzi! What do you think about this design?
